Merry Macaroons!

Happy Holidays, everyone! Here is a cookie recipe to add to your list of holiday goodies. This was my third attempt at baking these; first time test run, second time for friends and family and third time for PeopleTreat followers. If you are a fan of macaroons, try out this recipe. You will love it!

Items needed:
14 oz bag of shredded coconut
14 oz can of condensed milk
Two egg whites(Be sure the egg whites are room temp)
Pinch of salt
1 tsp of vanilla
Two cookie sheets
Parchment paper

Preheat the oven to 325F

In a mixer beat two egg whites until fluffy white peaks are formed…

In a large bowl mix the coconut, condensed milk, vanilla and salt together…

Once the ingredients are mixed well, fold in the egg whites…

With a cookie scooper or a spoon, make 1-&-1/2-inch rounds. Bake the macaroons for 15 minutes, then rotate the pan and cook for another 10 minutes…

Once the cookies are done, let them cool…

The edges may look burnt, they are just browned, crispy and delicious, like little bites of caramel. Yum, yum, yum!

If you want to add chocolate, melt some chips and drizzle over the top. What I did last time was dip half of the cookie in melted chocolate, but, really, these cookies are perfectly delicious without it.

Thanks for stopping by PeopleTreats, and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday!

  1. Thank you, Jolly Beetroot! Me too, I so, so love macaroons! I couldn’t stop eating them, especially right out of the oven when they are at its sweetest and most delicious. You’re right, they do look like little white snowballs. All the better for Christmas. I hope you and your loved ones have a great holiday! Merry Christmas!
